Occupational Therapy Apprentice personnel
were civilians serving under the jurisdiction
of the Army Medical Corps in military and veteran
hospitals. As of August 1945, 452 apprentices were
employed by the Army in more than 70 hospitals
across the United States. Occupational therapy
apprentices did not serve overseas during WW II
but did materially help in restoring wounded
veterans to duty and to civilian pursuits.
The monogram letters "OT" stand for Occupational Therapy.
