1st Airborne Battle Group 502nd Infantry Regiment

Worn as a Pocket Patch from:
June 1948 - April 1957

The unit was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division.
The design is an embroidered replica of the distinctive
insignia of the unit. The blue of the shield is for infantry.
The grasping eagle's claw is a representation of the airborne
functions of the organization.

The motto "Strike!" is expressive of the power of the organization.
