The Army War College is located at Carlisle
Barracks, Pennsylvania. The College was first
established in 1901 and went through several periods
of activation and deactivation during the next 75 years.
The College was closed during WW II and reopened in 1950.
The three stars at the top of the insignia suggest the
three combat arms of the service and the torch represents
enlightenment.
