The Combat Surveillance and Electronic Warfare
School was active from 1969 to June of 1973 when it
was integrated into the Intelligence Center and School
at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The sword and electronic
flashes on the patch suggest the uses of electronic
warfare devices by the military. The spearhead formed
by the flashes indicates the unit's mission of probing
the unknown (suggested by the black or "dark" area) to
locate and pinpoint hostile electronic devices. The
colors red, yellow, and blue suggest the three combat
arms of Artillery, Cavalry, and Infantry.
