Southern European Task Force
Worn from:
30 November 1955 - Current.
The winged lion of St. Mark, his right forepaw resting on a book
containing the Latin word "pax," or "peace," of the vertically
tri-parted shield represents the colors of the United States of
America. The mass of red on the background of the lettered "SETAF"
portion (Tab) of the insignia refers to artillery, which is the
major branch of the organization.
