95th

95th Infantry Division:
The Victory Division also the OK Division.

The 95th Division was activated as a component in the Army
of the United States on July 15th, 1942, with Headquarters
at Camp Swift, Texas. Before going overseas, the Division had
four changes of station and participated in maneuvers in
Louisiana, California-Arizona, and West Virginia. Elements
embarked for the European Theater in August of 1944.

The shoulder patch worn by the 95th Division in WW II was
tentatively approved on May 21st, 1942, and finally approved
on August 29th, 1942. The number "9" and the Roman numeral "V"
(for "5") represent the unit's designation, and the "V" also
stands for "Victory," The colors are the National Colors.
