75th Infantry Division:
The 75th Division was activated on April 15th, 1943,
as a component of the Army of the United States with
headquarters at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The Division
underwent a period of extensive training and participated
in the 1944 Louisiana maneuvers before embarking for the
European Theater in November of 1944
The shoulder patch worn by the 75th Division was approved on
February 12th, 1943. The numerals "75" represent the unit's numbers,
and red, white, and blue are the National Colors.
