I Corps was organized in January 1918 in the Regular Army at
Neufchateau, France. The design of a white circle upon a black
disc (originally a blue disc) was adapted during World War I
as the shoulder - sleeve insignia for I Corps.

Champagne 1918, Lorraine 1918, St.-Mihiel, Meuse - Argonne),
World War II (Papua, New Guinea; Luzon), Korean War

CCF Spring Offensive, UN Summer-Fall Offensive, Second Winter,
Summer-Fall 1952, Third Winter, Summer 1953).
