Day 1: Landing in Avalon
How the things have changed! Compared to the almost deserted impression of Avalon in 2009, now the town was bustling with life again. Its harbor was hopelessly booked. No chance for us to dock along the waterfront. We suspected an event or a gathering of sorts because we saw so many of the motor yachts, and barely a sail yacht in the harbor. But we never resolved the mystery of the midweek crowd in Avalon... It was nice to see the town in quite a good mood and full of life! |
