We departed from the Via Lido Marina in a calm weather. We passed the harbor channel
and discovered that the visibility on the Ocean was very limited. We sailed with a help
of engine for a few hours without seeing the coast of California or the Catalina Island.
Than finally after a few hours the Island has emerged from the haze, what was welcomed
with fascination by our young sailors. Weather in Avalon was
perfect for sightseeing.
