Santa Ana winds and bad weather rolling over Southern California caused that the usual Thanksgiving crowd stayed home. It was very quiet in Avalon. This was probably bad for the visitor oriented economy, but we have enjoyed the lack of lines in shops and restaurants. The Descanso Beach was deserted. Once the rain front passed the Island and moved toward the coast of California, the nature has presented us an entire series of most magnificent rainbows in a dramatic setting. See for yourself. Some of them were the biggest rainbows I ever witnessed, period. |
