HI i'm an old friend of artist James Van Dyke - he must be in his 80s now. He was a pretty god artist and taught at Yale for awhile. I've lost ontact with him and I wonder if you ever heard ofhe is still alive and where I might reach him.done by Jim that was in exchange for a piece of furniture I traded I think he was born in CT and lived in Philadelphia in the early sixties. I have a beautiful woodcut of Mary holding the infant Jesus My computer like to play games with me so please excuse it. It knows no better. Thanks, Paul Hogan

Hello James, what a fantastic collection of galleries.... You have a great eye for photography, and a unique sense of style. I have truly enjoyed going through your photos - the range and variety of topics, the originality of viewpoint, and the quality. Well done, keep it up ! Greetings from Poland. Pawel

I would like to request permission to show your photo of Florida scrub at Lake Wales Ridge to my not-for-profit birding classes at the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society.
(The photo would appear in a slide show about the endangered Florida Scrub-Jay).
Thank you!

Hey Van. Greetings from VA :) Just checked out the new shots from FL at fieldherpers.com. Amazing. Can't wait to see the shots of the neonates when you post them. Interesting stuff, and your photography continues to be absolutely amazing. Keep it up.

I've heard coachwhips called whipsnakes, oak snakes (esp. in GA), and hoop snakes. Hoop snakes due to the myth of the snake that makes itself into a hoop and rolls down a hill and chases people- complete fiction and nothing to worry about.

Well done! Photography is top notch and the descriptions are especially nice with the common name and the scientific name. I also found the camera and lenses information to be a nice bonus.
