The Grade II* listed Leawood Pump House near Cromford in Derbyshire, photographed on a chilly 2 February 2018. The building dates from 1849 and houses a Watt-type beam engine that pumped water from the River Derwent to the Cromford Canal until 1944 when the canal closed. The Pump House was restored in 1979 by the Cromford Canal Society and the engine is steamed periodically.
