Beachy Head

Beachy Head along the Eastbourne coast is the highest chalk cliff in Britain, at 162 metres. On a very clear day, you are said to be able to see as far as Dungeness in Kent, nearly 40 miles away. The cliffs are also a popular jumping off point for suicides, and little bunches of flowers are scattered along the edge, memorials from those left behind. The chalky cliffs continue to erode, and parts are roped off as dangerous...although this didn't stop three people that I noticed, far beyond the barrier, on the precarious edge.

Some of my photos are now available to buy in a variety of sizes and finishes, or as digital files, at SerenityPhotography.co.uk.
