Manchac

Manchac, a small village in southeast Louisiana, is bordered by Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Maurepas. It was a fishing village of the native American Indians. Life can be sweet in Manchac enjoying the lakes and the waterways but it can also be brutal if one makes a living fishing.
There is so much history in this small village and it was almost destroyed by an interstate highway. The people who live here and who own camps here would have it no other way and to them it is a little bit of heaven.
