What a grand time it has been! The talented and wonderful people I have met through PBase are immeasurable.
The past year has been hectic since Hurricane Katrina slapped our City silly and there were some days when I did not think I could take one more picture.
On Saturday evening I went to the hospital emergency room in an ambulance with lights flashing and sirens screaming. In my police work I had either driven the vehicle or followed it and I must say that riding in it with an i.v. going and oxygen in my nose was much more frightening. The elephant sitting on my chest would not talk back to me. For a while I did not think I was going to see this anniversary. However, a heart attack has been ruled out for the moment. I said in my head on that wild excursion "Well, Katrina, you finally got me." And, as you can see, I am back near the River with all of its restorative powers.
I thank you all for your wonderful support, kindness and gentleness. It has been a wonderful two years.
