An Art Student Studies the Live Oaks

We had a nice chat and I showed him how the bark of the live oak is crackled, sort of like an alligator skin.

There are many, many, many things to be done in New Orleans. But, people's spirits are just as important as a wood or brick structure, in fact, they are more important. It would not take so much money to restore the two trains and would give pleasure to soooo many little children and big children, too. I, for one, am all for getting the trains back on the track as soon as possible. City Park and Audubon Park are small oasis' of pleasure in a desert of misery.

See the tracks are still there for the minature train.
There was an e-mail list about spending money to restore operation of the train.
My personal feeling is that there are many many other things that need to be done first.
