LSU Agricultural Extension Office in City Park

New Orleans City Park

It makes me sick to see this lovely building one year after the hurricane with the waterline still on it and nothing at all done to restore it. Notice that the roof and the shutters are still intact so the winds of the hurricane did not damage it. It was the floodwaters from the broken levees that did the damage. The Corps of Engineers' fault.
There is no money and no employees and the Mayor of the City says "everything is fine in New Orleans cause the Superdome is up and running." What a buffoon. Monday night's football game will be the first one in the City since Katrina--news media have arrived in droves. Interesting............... but stupid.

A very sad, sad commentary on your city leaders. I'm so sorry....

This is PATHETIC.
The media - even here in Louisiana - is saying how great it is in New Orleans.
I know we NEED the tourist dollars this was impressed on us this week when the state released income numbers.

But we don't need them that way.

I am so sorry to see things looking so bad in your parks. I know the parks mean a lot to you.
