Holy Cross Emblem in Main Hall

This hall sat in flood waters from the Industrial Canal for almost three weeks following Hurricane Katrina. The EPA shut down all buildings at Holy Cross and students attended class in portable classrooms built on the parking lot beginning in January, 2006.
In order to keep tradition of HC alive, the faculty cleaned this hall to enable the graduating class to make their traditional march through here on their way to Baccalaureate Mass.
They were the last class to graduate on this campus, the oldest boys' school in New Orleans.

Alvin:

I remember the class of '84 with much fondness, especially that football team! Y'all had lots of spirit, and us fifth graders looked up to y'all as the model what we wanted our class of 1991 to be. Kevin Becker, John Michelet, Klay Guilliot... y'all had some amazing football players and character guys.

Indeed, class of 84 should be allowed to move the Gazebo again. Why they kept the Gazebo back on the levee behind the middle school building is beyond me! It just looks right where it is now -- as if that's where it has always been.

And if you cannot find enough class of 84 guys to move the Gazebo again, feel free to enlist my help. I'd be honored to be part of the move!

I have heard that they are going to take the Gazebo and Bell when the school leaves the Dauphine street campus.

Will Holy Cross take the Gazebo and other special items to its new location?
I was on the football team, in 1983, which moved the Gazebo to its present location.
I wouldn't mind doing it again.
