The Miracle of Life

Lafreniere Park in Metairie

If I had not been alone I probably would have stayed the night to see the three eggs hatch completely. Two of them had begun. I read that it takes many hours for a Canada gosling to hatch.
By morning they'll probably be by the water already.
If you're squeamish, don't look. If you look closely you can see the two eyes and little beak in the foreground.

wow - makes you realise just what an ordeal it is to get out of an egg! I wonder
what mama goose is thinking.

This is truly a miracle and I cant believe you were there to witness and capture it. This caption gets my vote, bec ause I find that someone has to be pretty darn skillful to come this close to something like that. Really cute little fellow.
