Coleen Perilloux Landry

St. Louis Cathedral

New Orleans, Louisiana

While I was in the kitchen cooking dinner for guests tonight a plumbing problem was flooding three bedrooms and a hallway of the new oak flooring that had been put in following Hurricane Katrina damage only 5 weeks ago. Tomorrow morning all the flooring will have to come out. There is not enough color photos in the world to cheer me tonight.

This shot is really great love the symmetry in it and the different between the white cathedral and the dark gate. Well done

Does it even end? Sorry about the flooring but this shot is really nice. It sure looks good but in B&W it really hits home. Nicely done.

Wonderful shot--great composition. GMV
I am sorry to hear about your problems. Hopefully this damage at least will be covered by insurance, but even so I know it must be discouraging. I was in Biloxi for Hurricane Fredrick and the old timers all talked about Camile--it's hard to believe that anything could top that. In some ways I'm glad I'm not there to see the distruction first hand, in other ways I wish I was there and could help...

Neat B&W. It complements your earlier beautiful color shots of the cathedral nicely.
