Middle School

The back of this building has wonderful views of the Mississippi River
These schoolbuses were moved from the Parking lot to install the portable classrooms. I do not know if the buses are operable.

I remember playing football on this field with my pals at lunchtime. There were usually three or four games going on at one time, with the endzones at the far left and right of this picture (the oak trees). I find it a bit shocking, in fact, to see actual grass on this field -- with all the activity, the whole area was usually light brown sand by the end of the school year!

For the kids who didn't like football, you could usually find games of marbles or "pencil break" under the oaks at the right, and the ever popular "Death Ball" in the raquetball courts behind the oaks on the far left of the above photo. The right wall that protects the right outside stairwell of Lee Hall was also a great place for a game of Death Ball.

Just a great place to go to school. HC will forever be in my heart.
