Holy Cross School and Historical Gazebo

New Orleans

At the beginning of the school in 1879 the gazebo sat near the front of the campus and was used as a shelter for the boys and parents at the streetcar line.
IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY, you will see the water mark half way up the windows on the first floor.
As soon as the water subsided and administrators and faculty could get into the area, a cleanup was begun to prepare the school for classes. The EPA shut them down after only a few days.

Thanks from an old friend, alumnus, and former teacher at Holy Cross. You did a fine job of showing the horror left behind by Katrina. Let's pray that Holy Cross and New Orleans will survive and come back stronger than ever. I'll miss Sid Mar's and Brunings on my future visits.
