The Ruins of West End

All that is left of the restaurants over the water are the pilings. For years to come people will discuss and remember the great times they had in these restaurants with family on Friday nights for seafood or celebrations of special occasions. A hurricane cannot erase the memories.

Jaeger's was a awesome restraunt. My brother had worked there and I was promised a job when I turned 18. I used to love going there and talking to Mrs Joy!

How very devastating, however it is very good of you to share these images with us and show us things other than what we see on the news, thank you Coleen.

The parapet has obviously been there a lot of years. Even this form of defence could not survive the wrath of Katrina.

So well presented in B&W. It adds to the dark side of this story!
