-National Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor at Ursuline

The Shrine suffered little damage except for a few missing shingles.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor is the patroness saint of Louisiana. Every Sunday from June 1 through December 1 Catholics say a special prayer at Mass for hurricane protection. It says "Our Lady of Prompt Succor spare us from hurricanes." She must have been out to lunch the Sunday before Katrina when this prayer was said.

If it had not been for Katrina, there would not have been all the forceful waters in the canals.

Actually to set the record straight, Katrina the storm stopped that Sunday. It's the levee that caused the most damage. Do you remember?

Get a grip CoM. Even the Mother of God has a sense of humor and from what we're going through I thought it was rather mild.

How disrespectful of you to insult the Mother of God with that sarcastic remark !!
