Shutters blown down and a tree across the driveway were pleasant surprises. For a while I thought the whole house would blow away. The green on the columns are leaves that were plastered there by the wind.
We had tree damage with several of my favorite crepe myrtles felled. Our very tall cedar that we decorate with colored lights and a star every Christmas was lost. There was debris all over the yard from the trees. I walked through our woods and surprisingly in 12 acres there were only about 50 trees down. I guess they protected each other. I won't take up space with felled trees; we all know too well what they look like.
