Streetcar Line Named to National Registry of Historic Places

New Orleans, Louisiana

The New Orleans streetcar line is the oldest in the world.
This week it was named to the National Registry of Historic Places list. One hundred years ago, in 1914, my father was a streetcar conductor on the New Orleans line.
