Bald Eagle in Freezing Temperatures

Louisiana

It was 27 degrees when I shot this. (Not typical south Louisiana weather) I cannot tell if the eggs have hatched but from the behavior of the two eagles, something is going on at the nest. They are both there most of the time now. I'll be able to tell more when I see him bringing food into the nest.

I hope the cold temps don't disrupt the hatching of the eggs. Fantastic capture.

In those temperatures that have to stay on nest for sure. We just broke out of the teens and past freezing finally today!

Oh dear, hope the eggs aren't frozen Coleen!

Beautiful Coleen. I hope they keep those eggs warm. One of these flew over the house really low today, wish I could have been quick enough to get a picture.
