Tunnel of live oaks

Evergreen

I was about two weeks too late to capture these oaks with its old growth gone and its new growth just appearing. I like when the trees are in transition and you can see the bones of their bones.

Like Rick, I like the resonance of "the bones of their bones".... A wonderful image; perfectly composed....

I love the live oaks, especially when they've been trimmed in an alley. It is truly fascinating to see them drop old leaves and sprout new leaves on the same day.
But when they change... there is too much pollen. Everything in Sugar Land is covered in yellow. BV+

Every season has something different to offer but it's hard to imagine a better image of these giants than this one.

"the bones of their bones". I like that expression. We're a bit behind you here in Charleston. Old leaves falling, new just emerging. The alleys of oaks are so pretty.
