Located on the northern side of the Airline Highway at the western end of the Spillway near Montz, the trail draws people from all walks of life. On this day an Ornithology class from Tulane University was holding its birdwatching sesssion.
The trail is near the boat launch and is viable for most of the year except when the water from the Mississippi enters the Spillway.
