My Girl

Montz, Louisiana

We are in a severe drought even though we have a raging Mississippi River no more than 800 yards from this photo. You can tell it's dry when even the dogs kick up dust.

The flowers are beautiful though. Nature is strange, so wet, but so dry at the same time.

We need to send some rain your direction. We've had some but not enough. Lovely image of the flowers and your daughter and pups.

What a gorgeous sight all those flowers are. We have the 2nd wettest Spring on record - 13.0" so far since March 1st. Normally we get about 8". The record: 15.25" set back in 1873. Wish we could have sent you some of our rain.

What a beautiful mass of Zennia. I'm surprised there aren't butterflies swarming! A strange weather juxtaposition.

Nice compositon. Yes, it is hard to imagine someone without enough rain at this time when so many have been flooded. Hope you have rain by the time you get this message. V

A beautiful burst of color.

We keep trying to send you water but it stays in the river instead of taking to the sky. Beautiful spots of color in this shot. Even the dog's tongue contributes!

lots of colour!

What a fabulous display of zinnias...it does look dry and dusty, just like our summers!

Wish the weather would even out, too wet up here, farmers are behind in planting because of the cool wet spring.

I do love zinnias.....beautiful. I can handle the heat....we're already having 100+ days, but the drought gets to you after a while.

What a rainbow of colors. Hopefully these flowers will survive the dry or the wet.

Gorgeous flower row! I understand about the drought, we are the same here. I hope the river stays put. Happy Memorial Day!

Lovely flowers Coleen, gotta wonder what they might have looked like with a shower or two!
