Some 6,000 men dressed as women (and not all pretty) in a parade in downtown New Orleans to honor the memory of sportcaster, Buddy Diliberto. Buddy covered the Saints on radio and television from 1967 until his death in 2005. He always promised that if the Saints were in the Super Bowl he would wear a dress and parade on Canal Street and New Orleans men honored him by doing so today. The temperature was 36 degrees at the beginning of the parade and did not warm up much. Many of the men had on strapless dresses and some wore tutus. It was better than Mardi Gras.
