The Krewe of Phunny Phorty Phellows kick off the carnival season in New Orleans each year with their parade ride on the St. Charles Streetcar line.
They are all in costume and throw beads to people along the line. Whoever was driving the Streetcar should be slapped for the speed he/she was going. So many people lined the route and I could feel the breeze as it sped by me. Little children were very disappointed that they did not get to see more of the people inside. AND, SO WAS I.
