Waiting for Evening Tide

It has rained here all day, stormed in fact, and I am using a two day old photo.
When I look at this I think there may be hope for me with the 40D after all, though I am not crazy about the camera.

I think you have the hang of it. The 40D is a great tool

I have been enjoying your 40D shots for a couple of months now. I hope you grow to like it.

Lovely shot Coleen, can't complain about the tools.

Lovely moody shot of this working boat waiting to go out. Beautifully composied and photographed.

The evening glow on the side of the boat is so appealing. A very nice image. Even the flying gull is in a good spot.

your fishing boats have lots more equipment than ours!

I really like the 40D; hope you hang in there with it. Just push the contrast on this or warm up the white balance in post and it will really pop.

There is hope for you, Coleen. I think it's a great and very informative shot of which to be very proud. However, if you're not satisfied with the camera, then move to Nikon. :) Vote

I think you will grow to appreciate that camera. Results like these should push you closer.

I know you like your color. I see a super B&W in this image :-)

I think you are doing well with the 40 . . .this is quite nice. What is it that you don't like?

Great shot - don't give up on the camera just yet.

Nice scene. I felt the same way about the 30D, at first, but really enjoy it and am basically pleased with it, now.
