Three years ago I met a young couple from Canada in City Park. They were looking for a particular stone bridge which I directed them to. They had come to New Orleans, just the two of them, to be married on that bridge as the sun was setting. It was a golden sunset as you can see in the lighting but 95 degrees with high humidity. No one noticed the heat.
Three days later I attended their wedding and took photos of the occasion. (See "Wedding in City Park on Stone Bridge gallery).
Three weeks later, Hurricane Katrina hit our City and turned our world upside-down as well as the beautiful scenery in this photo.
