Peek in the Taliaferro-Cole Shop and see tradesmen cutting and sewing leather to make harnesses and a variety of saddles (hunt saddles, plantation saddles, hussar saddles, and sidesaddles). These items were in great demand in colonial Virginia; today, the shop makes and repairs all the harnesses used in the Historic Area.
