The Temple de la Sagrada Família, based on an idea of prevalence of the vertical lines, is a building with a five naves Latin cross ground plan and a transept of three more naves. An exterior cloister surrounds the building communicating the three façades -Nativity, Glory and Passion-, each one with four bell-towers of around 100 m high. Its dimensions are: nave and apse, 90 m; transept, 60 m; central nave, 15m wide; lateral naves, 7.5m wide.
The Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia or simply Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí's unfinished masterpiece, is one of Barcelona's most popular tourist attractions. Construction on this church will continue at least until 2041, but it has already become Barcelona's most important landmark.
