Rattlesnake Plant, Calathea crotalifera (Marantaceae)

Aptly named because of its resemblance to the rattlesnake's tail.
The true flowers can be seen peeking out of the side.

Dear "Guest",
I am NOT offended by someone pointing out factual errors in my photos or labels. I am very grateful that someone has taken the time to correct my errors.
I even more grateful if the individual knows the correct information or clues to the correct inforation and is willing to give me this information.
I am not a botanist by trade or desire and would like to emphasize that all information posted was captured on my own. All errors are also my own.
