Penask Lake is located on the Okanagan Plateau in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. It is the source of one of the main strains of rainbow trout that have been stocked around the world. The road into the lake is rough, negotiable by a 2 wheel drive with lots of clearance, but best driven with a 4x4. We took our canoe in just to go for a boat ride, but most people visit the lake to catch fish. I also took my camera with a new Canon 70-300 IS DO lens that I wanted to test before taking in to Africa in September.
There are also some pictures of Monks Hood flowers in this gallery. Those pictures were taken near Jack Pine Lake on the old horse trail to Peachland.
