For a short time a little part of Harpenden was Paved with Gold

They worked very hard but required strict supervision from me.
When you have drawn up the plans it is surprising how much they don't want to follow them.

Yes Ray. That was where they covered the stopcock cover with leveled sand and spent ten minutes searching for it with a rod, not wanting to walk on it.
