04-MAR-2004 Chris Brooker

4th March 2004

Is that you in there Pall?

Another trip to London today, I went up later as my back is still not quite right.
Walking along Fleet Street I saw these goggles in a shop window.
I flipped the image in Photoshop to please our "drive on the right" friends.

Also so you can read the shopfronts. Do those of you in the USA feel at home??

Neat image. It took me a while to appreciate the "correct" traffic patterns. Not enough traffic!

Cool shot! The gradation on the glasses is great!

Now I'm a sucker for photos showing reflections of sunglasses - this is no exception! Great shot, I love it!

Very clever shot Chris - but you really should not pamper those that drive on the right - after all they're all wrong but us {LOL} I imagine it was not an easy shot to get?

Fantastic work Chris!

I was told by a conductor two weeks ago that they finish in June this year.
He may have only been talking about his garage.

They're only retiring the most old-fashioned red double deckers with the open platforms - they are 40 years old!I read the last ones will go early 2006. We still have many red double-deckers here, many of which are quite new. There has been criticsm that the old open-platform "Routemasters" are no good for the disabled etc. otherwise they would have continued for longer. ~~~Ray.

Great !

Very cool idea. Saw the double-decker bus in the background. I heard today that they plan to retire all of those wonderful busses in London ... kind of sad if you ask me.

LOL! @ you, Chris . . this is soooo FUN! I had to open it in 'original to read the store fronts, but grinned as big as Big Ben when I did. I'm going to have to go reshoot one of my traffic pictures & flip it so you can feel at home too . . .except traffic is traffic no matter who you flip off . . .oh, excuse me, that was spoz to be 'no matter how you flip off . . um, it"
