My first efforts with the long lens.
It didn't occur to me to take care about what the auto focus locked on to.
Never mind, the wire and insulators on the catenary came up nice and sharp.
I enjoyed working into the sun.

Terrific image Chris ... wonderful color and perspective. I just love train shots.

Gosh, this is a pretty shot, Chris! Love the comp and color. I would have SWORN it was a sepia rendering, as well - positively lovely! You're off to a tremendous start with your new lens. I can see that we'll certainly be the benefactors of that little purchase! *grin*

Works well looking into the sun, reflections on the lines and such. Nice capture!

Cool shot! I thought it was a sepia finish, but then I saw that little red light off to the right side. You did a great job shooting into the sun! Have fun with your new toy!
Its no good, Chris, you'll just have to come south of the river to avoid all that catenery! Also, at Woking the direction of the track goes right into the sunset. I need to do some shots there - but I need a ticket to get through those barriers!
