10th December 2003

A Foggy Day at St. Albans Market

I took the car in for a service today.
Leaving it at the garage and walked down through the town to the Abbey.
I looked round for an hour and then walked back to the market.

The Market at St. Albans has been there since the 8th Century.
Some of the cheese looks as if it is left over from the first day!!
The market is held on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Christmas Eve.

At the Town Hall I asked to be allowed out onto the balcony to take this photo.
The stalls continue as far as you can see, past the second set of traffic lights.
