My last day up in London till the new year.
First I went to The Victoria and Albert Museum and then on to
The Royal Opera House at Covent Garden.
The image is of a plaster cast given to Queen Victoria in 1856. The marble original, made between 1501 & 1504 is in the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence Italy. Please note the eye screws at the rear of the upper arms, fitted to hold strings to suspend a fig leaf when viewed by Queen Victoria.
