South Surrey and White Rock - 2 small urban areas south of Vancouver BC and are part of the metropolitan area known as Greater Vancouver Regional District. White Rock is a city in its own right but its boundaries are only about 6 square miles (24 blocks x 16 blocks!). There is a constant tug for this small city by the sea to join its huge neighbour, the City of Surrey, but so far, the small city is staying apart. The boundaries in reality are barely noticeable, but to live in White Rock is a status quo.
