Locomotive View Havana

CUBA

Ureka ~ went around the block and found a space where the fence was sagging enough and the ground a bit higher - just had to crop a bit at the bottom here.... the graphics of the buildings combined those wonderful old engines were very exciting. Do I sound like a girl - lol! Seriously, if I could have somehow gotten into that space, that would have been the whole day of shooting.

This is a fantastic image. I really like the colors. It shows what the railroading was really like a few years, ago. Cuba was mecca for steam engines that were still working about 20 years, ago. Well done. V.

Fantastic glimpse of some worthy subjects - well presented against the aged backdrop; (thanks for the persistence). BZ-V!

A wonderful restoration, though woefully short of rail, another testament of the state of things in Havana which is also echoed by the buildings in the background. "V"

I think you pretty much nailed the shot even without having had the freedom to make a lot of POV changes. Wonderful everything! ~BV~

bravo Carol for persistence and solid skills...the buildings are a great backdrop, and their worn condition makes a notable contrast with the beautifully restored engine and coal car..wonderful, evocative image...BV
