guys, thanks for the suggestions. i think this is closer to what you were discussing amongst yourselves. i didn't include this originally b/c the light in the other is better (hitting the yellow leaves when it came out momentarily from behind some high hazy clouds). and god how i wanted four more feet to the left of where i was set up but even an inch further to the left was mid-air! another factor was wind from the falls made each particular shot in this series different as to which trees were slightly blurred. i like this image but i don't think it has the impact of the other mostly b/c of the light. also the near fall in this one gets cut off a bit. (can't exactly remember why that was but i know there was a reason; i love that near pour-off and tried to get all of it in every shot). i could probably crop the horizontal version of this scene more toward what you guys are thinking but it achieves a weird aspect ratio and symmetry. oh well, there's always next time!!
