Purple Martin

Longwood Gardens - Kennett Square, PA

I rarely see a Purple Martin in the wild.
Longwood Gardens has a large family of them that return yearly and constantly fly over the Idea Gardens capturing insects.

Unsusal capture--the only purple martins I've seen had been clamoring on multiple entrance birdhouses. This is superb.
