Waning Gibbous Moon

Richboro, PA

Can't resist shooting unique moon shots.
Last night this large orange moon put on a spectacular display as it rose.
The orange color here is close to reality and is caused by dust in the Earth's atmosphere.
The large size is really an optical illusion. The camera does not see that illusion.
As opposed to a full moon, I like partial moon shots better.
They are not as bright and have more detail. This shot has craters nearly everywhere.

Canon EOS 70D ,Canon EF 400 5.6 L
1/60s f/5.6 at 400.0mm iso100 full exif
