I saw this juvenille Bald Eagle in the woods along the shore of Auke Bay, and it flew away after sitting there for a while. Seeing the mountains across the bay, I had this feeling that this bird may come back, and decided to wait. After some time, the bird flew out of the woods on the other side of the bay, above the open water, came directly towards me. Snow-capped mountain in the background, the eagle gliding gracefully in the open space, it was a quite a sight. Of course, the pictures I got didn't capture the magic of the moment, yet it was a memorable moment.
